Seattle (Aug. 6, 2008) – At the Fall 2008 Seattle Adventures in Travel Expo, Forever Resorts will be promoting fun afloat with specials on houseboating vacations at marinas across the country. From now through May 21, 2009, the company is offering tax-and-fuel-inclusive specials from $47.56 per person per day on select rentals at its 12 marinas. Making sustainable wake at Lake Mead: The newest 75-foot Silver Xtreme launched at Lake Mead in May 2008. With six private staterooms in addition to a sleeper sofa in the main living area and two and a half bathrooms, the Silver XTreme brings a new level of high-end rental vacationing to the Lake Mead area.  The 75-foot houseboat is equipped with mobility-impaired accessibility; a fully equipped kitchen; a seven-person hot tub; water slide; LCD flat screen TVs with DVD players and DirectTV in the great room and on the front and top decks in addition to personal units in each stateroom; a stainless-steel marine gas grill; two oversized refrigerators; a flying bridge with wet bar on the upper deck; and a wheelchair elevator.

While plush, the 75-foot Silver XTreme at Lake Mead is an environmentally conscious watercraft. The houseboat features low-impact green components such as biodegradable paper products; LED and CFL energy-efficient lighting; zero water discharge into the surrounding lake; dual E-Tec engines the most fuel-efficient and lowest CO emission engines available and Safe-CO generators to aid in carbon monoxide reduction; solar enhanced electric systems; and, Energy Star-rated appliances and low-flow water fixtures. Recycled building materials such as carpeting made from plastic bottles and cabinet tops made with recycled materials are found throughout.  The custom designed houseboat was built by Fun Country Marine Industries, a Forever Resort whose environmental management system has been certified to ISO 14001:2004. Fun Country Marine Industries was also accepted into membership of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency National Environmental Performance Track program for demonstrating business practices that go above and beyond compliance.
