Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show® Sets Highest Attendance Record To Date

Consumers and exhibitors attendance increased substantially at the 4th Annual Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show® on January 25-26, 2014

(Santa Clara, CA) - Unicomm LLC, organizers of the Bay Area’s favorite and the country’s largest series of travel shows, announced today that its 4th Annual Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show® held at the Santa Clara Convention Center on January 25th and 26th, set a new record with over 16,123 travel enthusiasts and travel trade attending to meet with over 1,000 travel experts manning the show’s 200 plus exhibitor booths; making it the largest show since its launch. “This show rocked, with record attendance and serious bookings for everyone” stated John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm.

Unlike the traditional methods of attendees discovering opportunities and doing research, the Bay Area’s quality exhibitors’ expert travel advice and trip ideas brought immediate interest and bookings directly from the expo floor. One exhibitor explained, “The Bay Area show was beautiful, and we sincerely appreciated the quality of the attendees and their interest in our booth and our destination. One of our innkeepers received a booking on the first day, Saturday, while she was in the booth at the show. This is the kind of feedback that makes our lodging partners extremely happy, when new friendships are made and the bookings start coming in.” And, Lauren Parson with Gate 1 Travel said “We had a great time at the show and our leads increased by 41% from last year! This show is clearly getting bigger and bigger each year, so you will definitely see us at this show next year.”

The Santa Clara show continues to attract higher quality demographic attendees due to its strategic location, drawing consumers from San Francisco, Silicon Valley and the Bay Area at large. This year, attendance of guests increased a whopping 16% since 2013.

The Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show’s® featured consumer seminars, culinary demos and interactive family-friendly activities such as, a zip line, a rock climbing wall, exotic zoo animals, and Segway rides. Headline speakers included Rick Steves, host and writer of the popular television series Rick Steves’ Europe; inspiring and celebrated Travel Channel personalities Samantha Brown and Bert Kreischer; and Patricia Schultz, author of the #1 New York Times Bestseller “1,000 Places to See Before You Die”.

In 2015, The Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show will return to the Santa Clara Convention Center February 7-8, with high-quality speakers and thousands of vacation options .
