PICK ANY ADVENTURE…AND THEN FIND IT AT THE ADVENTURES IN TRAVEL EXPO
Hundreds of Exhibitors Make the Expo Your Ticket to Everything in Adventure Travel

Milford, CT, February 7, 2006 – Imagine trekking miles along a rocky ridge to explore the famous Boiling River in Dominica, having your feet nuzzled by baby warthogs on a Kenyan safari, or motorcycling the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Vietnam. These are just a handful of the endless stream of adventures that await travelers at the Adventures in Travel Expo this weekend at the Washington Convention Center.

“What is unique about this show is that the diversity of travel options for which the adventure travel category is known,” says Unicomm CEO John Golicz, organizer of the Adventures in Travel Expo.” Virtually any trip your mind can conceive can be found here in some form – from the simple to the exotic, and from the distant to the close to home – we truly offer an adventure for everyone.”

The show offers fine examples of both soft and extreme adventure, recognizing that “adventure” is different for everyone. For some, it may be an Alaskan cruise, while others may seek the heart-pounding adventure of shark diving. Overall, the adventure category, which is now a $115 billion dollar industry, envelops any activity that allows you to experience a destination from a physical, cultural or spiritual perspective, which covers a lot of ground.

Here are just a few of the activities that DC area residents can find at the Expo:

Luxury wildlife and cultural safaris to Kenya and Tanzania are the offering of Deeper Africa, which allows you to experience a night game drive, or learn about African culture from a stay in an African village, or take spectacular game trips (Booth #402); CC Africa features exceptional game viewing and birding opportunities on a walking safari in Phinda Game Reserve in South Africa. (Booth #405)

Whitewater Rafting and Kayaking in South America
