Milford, CT, October 20, 2006 – The Adventures in Travel Expo (ATE) world’s leading active and adventure travel show and the New York Daily News, New York’s #1 newspaper, have announced a partnership that gives to the New York Daily News presenting sponsorship status at the Adventures in Travel Expo being held at Pier 94, in Manhattan, January 13 and 14, 2007. This event will be marketed as “Adventures in Travel Expo, presented by the New York Daily News.”

As presenting sponsor, the New York Daily News will be the main print conduit for marketing the event through an extensive integrated advertising and promotion campaign. This will include a dedicated supplement being distributed within the newspaper’s travel section one week prior to the ATE show, and regular promotional ads running throughout the New York Daily News leading up to the event. The newspaper will also have naming rights to the event’s Global Beats Stage, an element of the event that has attracted musicians and dancers from all over the world including Puerto Rican folkloric dancers, steel drummers from Barbados and Mongolian throat singers to name just a few.

In its fourth year, the event has moved to the newly renovated Un-Convention Center at Pier 94, allowing for an even more active event. This year the show will feature the addition of an aerial zip line, an adventure ropes course, winter kayaking demonstrations on the Hudson, and a Culinary Travel Pavilion sponsored by Bon Appetit magazine, that will gather destinations, resorts, tour operators, chefs and cookbook authors that specialize in culinary adventures from around the globe.

The event organizers have also structured an arrangement with Adventure Engine and Liberty Travel that will allow consumers to book tours and vacations right on the show floor..

In addition to newspaper advertising, an extensive online marketing campaign and sweepstakes will drive additional traffic to the event.
